    The Problem

    The David Procedure (valve-sparing aortic root replacement) is one of the hardest operations in cardiac surgery. It requires perfect 3D reconstruction of the aortic valve, depends entirely on surgeon skill, and has no tool to standardize it. Only a limited group of surgeons worldwide can perform it.

    The Solution

    EDF provides patient-specific selection and preparation of tubular vascular grafts (conduits) using fully objective, measurement-based criteria. By resuspending the aortic leaflets, 3D reconstruction of the aortic valve is achieved.
